Our Services

Specialist Physiotherapy Services

All services delivered at home or in agreed community settings — tailored to your individual condition and goals.

🧠

Neurological Physiotherapy

A specialised and individually tailored rehabilitation programme for conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. Recognising that no two conditions — or individuals — are exactly the same.

🧸

Orthopaedic Physiotherapy

Assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries — muscles, bones and ligaments. Our approach addresses the primary injury and any associated challenges for holistic recovery.

💧

Hydrotherapy

Using the supportive, de-weighted water environment to strengthen muscles, reduce tone, alleviate pain and improve exercise tolerance. Buoyancy also helps reduce anxiety related to fear of falling.

🦑

Acupuncture

A well-established treatment particularly effective for managing chronic pain. When integrated with appropriate physiotherapy, acupuncture can enhance overall effectiveness and improve outcomes.

🧓

Frailty & Falls Prevention

Targeted exercise programmes to enhance strength, improve balance and reduce the risk of falls — helping you maintain independence and well-being.

👐

Therapeutic Massage

Massage stimulates soft tissues to reduce pain perception, promote relaxation, decrease stress and improve blood flow — supporting your body's natural healing process.

FES — Functional Electrical Stimulation

An advanced technique to restore or improve muscle function in neurological conditions. Dan is fully trained in FES and integrates it with conventional physiotherapy for optimal outcomes.

💪

Personal Training

We collaborate with trusted local personal trainers to support your journey during and after physiotherapy — ensuring a seamless transition to long-term fitness and well-being.

Return to Hobbies

An important part of rehabilitation is rediscovering enjoyable, meaningful activities. We tailor your programme to align with your personal interests and help make activities accessible again.

📋

Medicolegal

Extensive experience delivering rehabilitation for individuals with ongoing or settled medico-legal claims, working closely with solicitors, case managers and multidisciplinary teams.

🏥

Patient Reviews

What Our Clients Say

★★★★★

Since having regular home physiotherapy sessions with CNS, our son is now able to sit, stand and walk. None of this would have been possible without the experience, drive and enthusiasm of the CNS team.

— Parent of CNS Patient
★★★★★

Prior to the accident, my husband was a keen golfer. Five years later, with dedicated physio input from Dan, he has managed his first 9 holes of golf. We couldn't be more grateful.

— Wife of CNS Patient
★★★★★

After three months, my husband is now walking independently with a wheeled Zimmer frame and becoming more independent every day. I can't thank Scott and the CNS team enough.

— Family Member of Patient
★★★★★

Dan is always thinking how to better my wellbeing — thinking outside the box to encourage my arm and leg to get back to something like they used to be. Exceptional dedication.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

Do I need a referral from my GP or consultant?
No referral is necessary. You can refer yourself directly to our service if you believe physiotherapy could help you achieve your goals. While a doctor may suggest physiotherapy, their referral is not required to begin treatment with us.
What is neurological physiotherapy?
Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of conditions caused by disorders of the central nervous system — the brain, spinal cord and associated nerves. These conditions can lead to symptoms such as weakness, paralysis, spasticity, impaired movement, reduced balance and difficulty performing everyday tasks. We use specialist techniques and neurological knowledge to deliver patient-centred care tailored to your needs.
Do you travel to other areas?
Yes, we are able to travel beyond North Lincolnshire, Doncaster and Bassetlaw. However, depending on the distance, a travel charge may apply. Please feel free to get in touch for a personalised quote.
Do you offer clinic sessions?
We are primarily a community-based service. However, we can access a clinic through an affiliated practice if required — please note this incurs an additional fee. We also offer treatment in a variety of settings, including hydrotherapy pools, gyms, and cycling sessions. These may include a small surcharge for facility use, which we're happy to discuss with you.
Can a family member or carer attend sessions?
Yes. Where appropriate and beneficial to the patient, we welcome supportive family members to attend sessions — provided it aligns with the patient's wishes.
Can you recommend other local health professionals?
Absolutely. We have established strong networks with fellow allied health professionals including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, and are happy to recommend trusted practitioners. We encourage collaborative, multidisciplinary working to ensure a holistic approach to your rehabilitation.
Can I be treated through my insurance provider?
Yes. We are registered with several major health insurance providers and continue to add new ones. If you have a cover letter authorising physiotherapy, please email us to check if we are an approved provider with your insurer. If not listed, we are typically happy to apply for recognition.
How many sessions will I need?
This will be discussed during your initial assessment and depends entirely on your personal goals and needs. We will never pressure you into more sessions than necessary and will always provide honest, tailored recommendations based on what we believe will benefit you most.
